The African Bioinformatics Institute (ABI) is accepting applications for
its Associate Group Leader (AGL) programme, aimed at recognising and
supporting mid-career researchers (≤15 years post-PhD) leading
independent bioinformatics groups in Africa.
AGL benefits include:
Recognition within a continental network of emerging leaders
Opportunities to help shape ABI’s scientific, training, and
infrastructure agenda
Access to visibility, networking, and non-financial institutional
support
Eligibility:
Applicants must be based in Africa, lead a group (≥2 staff or students),
hold an active research grant (PI/co-PI), have ≥5 first/senior-author

an institutional letter of support.
To apply, candidates must submit an online application form, a detailed

Applications assessments will be based on leadership, funding,
